The Young Ringers’ Hub is a one-stop shop for everything youth-ringing related! It holds resources for all stages of youth ringing, with information for young ringers (aged 30 and under, of any and all abilities), parents and guardians, and those leading youth ringing. Whether you are just starting your ringing career, breaking into Surprise, thinking about using ringing for your DofE award or preparing for that move to University, we have you covered!
There are four dedicated sub-sites to the Hub. The Under-18s page contains information for ringers and parents alike on young ringers’ groups, school-based initiatives and Uniformed Groups (such as Scouts and Guides, as well as DofE). The Development page, aimed particularly at those aged 18-30 who did not take the University path, is still under construction, and will be launched soon! The University Ringing site meanwhile tells you everything you need to know about the opportunities to ring whilst at University, and the dedicated University Guilds across the country. Finally, the Library is home to the many additional resources, training materials, articles and videos for all your bellringing needs!
The Young Ringers’ Hub has been produced as part of the Central Council of Church Bellringers (CCCBR)’s Ringing 2030 strategy. It is one of a number of initiatives being rolled out as part of a major investment in recruitment, retention and development of ringers, both nationally and internationally. Young ringers have been identified as a key priority in creating a sustainable future for change ringing, and the Hub aims to support their ringing, showing the manifold available opportunities for them to get involved and develop their ringing, both within and outside of their home towers.
